Entrepreneurial Story: Centric

Over the last few weeks we have been fortunate to add several new clients to the H&W family. I want to highlight one as I am personally enthralled with their entrepreneurial story. Centric Projects is a new construction firm founded by three highly accomplished young construction professionals. After learning their craft at some of the best commercial contracting firms in the Kansas City area, they decided now was the time to go out and form their own company. They see the opportunity of a recovering economy and are taking the entrepreneurial risk to get out there and build a company from the ground up. Haas & Wilkerson Insurance was formed by two great entrepreneurs, Al Haas & Ralph Wilkerson, back in 1937. Together they turned a start up insurance agency into one with national prominence. It is an honor to follow their footsteps and to continue to promote the values that they used when building this business. Many may look at the national economy and get concerned. I for one look at it and believe we are here to help our customers prosper in difficult times. There is opportunity to be had out there, just ask the team at Centric.

Springtime

Springtime is a busy time at the H&W offices. Our many amusement customers are getting ready to “hit the road”, if they are not “out of the barn” already. The southern spring swing is already well underway with fairs and carnivals busy in Florida, Texas, Arizona and other warm weather states. I recently returned from the Florida Strawberry Festival where the skies were threatening, but the spirits were high for a prosperous 2010.

Our staff is busy sending our certificates of insurance and auto ID cards, and our inspectors are making the rounds to help our customers operate as safely as possible. I hope all in the fair, carnival, amusement park and rodeo industries have a very safe season in 2010.

And since this is my blog, GO JAYHAWKS!!!!! Let’s hang another banner in Allen Field House!!!!!

Welcome to our new and improved website and my first attempt at a blog. We are very excited to roll out the new version of www.hwins.com as this site more accurately reflects what Haas & Wilkerson Insurance has evolved into over the last few years.

Like our website we, as an agency, have grown and become much more technically savvy. We have added talented staff members to our organization and invested heavily in new technologies to better service our customers. We have a new agency management system that will allow us to better manage customer information, go paperless (Think Green), and soon allow customer interaction online. We have a new telephone system that will allow our customers unparalleled service opportunities when they call our office. And, we have a new website that will continue to evolve and grow overtime, much like H&W.
